Shuga Records Relief Fund

Since arriving in Chicago 5 years ago, Shuga Records has prioritized enriching the Chicago Music community by hosting free, in-stores performances that people of all ages can attend, releasing and purchasing local band’s records, and creating a safe, fun space to purchase and discuss music. Without each person who has walked through our doors we would be nothing. Sadly, due to recent events directly related to the COVID-19 outbreak we are now asking for your help.

As some of you already know, Shuga Records operates with a small, but oh so mighty staff. These people work here not for money, but because of their love of vinyl records and the music industry. It is our priority that above all that these people are taken care of during this hardship so we can continue to serve our community. So with that, we are asking for $15,000 in donations to insure that is possible however long our storefront remains closed to the public. Half of the money donated will go to the employees, the other half towards the maintaining store, warehouse, and stockroom utility bills.
