Hello,

As many of you know our son John had unexpected, major surgery on his spine. John has scoliosis and although we knew he would need surgery in the future, we were unprepared for the surgery to happen immediately. We thought this surgery would be a few years from now.

The 9 hour spinal fusion surgery was successful and John is recovering well. We were very happy since he also has a Chiari Malformation that made this surgery dangerous. His Chiari Malformation could also require surgery in the future. We are grateful for many family and friends reaching out asking how you can help and many of you have helped with meals and items John needed for recovery. Many of you are still asking how you can help and we are humbling ourselves to ask for financial help. Time off from work and continued time off to be at John’s side for the next 6 weeks and medical bills coming in is where we are really finding we need the most help. We are grateful for your love and continued support.
