I am a 16-year old girl from Toronto, Canada whose head is in the stars. Literally--my ambition is to become an astrophysicist. I am someone who spends hours reading and learning about math, physics, and the universe. Simply put, I am someone who is passionate about science, and it paid off!

I was recently accepted at the Deep River Science Academy, a 6-week intensive program for motivated high school students interested in STEM (science, engineering, technology, and math). It gives students like me the chance to do research under the guidance of professionals in a scientific or engineering research project.It is a fabulous opportunity that would definitely open a lot of doors for me--especially in light of the fact that women are vastly underrepresented in STEM fields. 

My family is doing everything they can to support me but the program is unfortunately, quite expensive. I also strive to pursue my dreams without putting undue financial burden on my family.
