Support Debbie Daniele - A Unified Effort of hope

Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,

In a time of immense challenge, we stand united to support our dear Debbie Daniele and her husband Dan Daniele. Debbie, is a beloved wife, mother of 8 (including spouses) and Mimi to 6 grandkids. She is known for her amazing hair cutting experience where each person sitting in her chair became family. Everyone knew of her vibrant personality, joyful attitude, pure demonstration of health and being more natural than a bullet-proof coffee! So, it came as a surprise to Deb that her stomach began to bring her discomfort over the last 2 months. Trying every tea, enzyme and tincture did not seem to help and so sought blood work from her naturopath doctor. The results came through on a Saturday morning, while her eldest son was visiting.
After reviewing her labs, a heavy feeling came over him and he insisted Debbie go to the ER for more test. After some discussion and pleading by family members, she reluctantly went. The reality was pretty grim, they found a mass growing on her pancreas which was closing off her bile duct, causing jaundice. The ER facility in Cape Coral transferred her to Gulf Coast Medical Center to perform surgery.

A stent was placed to restore function and prevent further occlusion of the bile duct. The procedure was successful, but imaging and biopsy confirmed cancer growing on the head of her pancreas. After almost a week in the hospital, Debbie is finally able to return home to family and is left wrestling with a surprise diagnosis of malignant pancreatic cancer. The whole family has a great deal of hope as we approach a daunting but optimistic treatment plan. The little bastard inside her (we are calling "The Grinch") will respond to chemotherapy and shrink to the point of being surgically removed. It is referred to as "borderline resectable" and though this type of disease is one of the worst kinds to get, leave it to Debbie to pull out some miraculous healing feat which leaves the doctors scratching their head and all of us jumping for joy. Keep the prayers and positivity flowing.

The next step is to place a "port" in her chest just before Christmas and start chemo-radiation in the new year. These sickening treatments will last 6 months or longer. She will be 100% focused on prayer, healing, and beating the Grinch into a small bit, so please keep her on your mind. Since she will stop cutting hair, Debbie and Dan will be reduced to only one household income. A large portion of the funds collected will go directly to keeping the house and living expenses afloat, hopefully lessening the burden of being out of work.

The financial strain of mounting hospital bills is compounded by a lapse in insurance coverage, intensifying the difficulties they face. This is no joke, she was 30 days away from Medicare kicking in when we got her to the ER! The family will have to continue navigating the system for funding medical costs as we have not received a bill for the hospital stay. Does anyone have a clue what surgical and medical oncology goes for these days? I guess we'll revisit this later...

Debbie's unwavering dedication to family, friends, and her responsibilities have been the cornerstone of our lives. Now, as she endures this health journey, it is our collective responsibility to provide the support she needs.

We have initiated this GoFundMe campaign to alleviate the financial burden on Debbie and Dan, recognizing the impact it has on their lives and well-being. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in helping them focus on the most important aspect – Debbie's health.

Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with your network. The love, prayers, and positive thoughts we receive will go a long way in bringing comfort to Debbie and Dan. Let's join forces to surround them with the love, hope, and financial support they need during this challenging time. If you are unable to give of your resources, consider pushing this story out into the world so we can raise awareness about this menacing disease.

Thank you for being part of this unified effort to stand by our family during this journey.

With heartfelt gratitude,

The Daniele Family
