Carolyn K has been in Duke Hospital for over a month,  since June 6, with a serious illness and is expected to be in the hospital for some weeks longer.  As many of you know, Carolyn works part-time, is a single parent, and has two teens to come home to when she recovers.

Carolyn has been a tremendous support and advocate for others in the community and now she can use our support.  As she was becoming noticeably more ill, she persisted in organizing a Kids Voting election, supporting her son to graduation, and generally taking care of those around her.  Carolyn's home needs some significant work to facilitate  her coming home and with over a month in the hospital, she faces some significant hospital bills as she recovers.  Funds will be used to get the house in good shape for Carolyn, help the kids with needed items, and provide funds to start on the looming medical bills.

Please be discreet, we are keeping this on the down low.  We want to respect the privacy of Carolyn and her kids, while providing some urgently needed support.   You are welcome to share with friends, but we are asking folks to not post this one on social media.
