Let’s Shower the Verrier Family with Support

Donation protected
As you may know, the past few weeks have been brutal for Meghann and Justin Verrier. Instead of getting to enjoy the birth of their THIRD beautiful daughter and feel the joy in being a family of five, they’ve had to deal with the most stressful time of their lives.

A couple weeks after giving birth Meg was admitted to the hospital for a life-threatening medical event. Her pregnancy and childbirth triggered masses of blood clots throughout her entire body. The clots were in her lungs and had formed a solid mass in her abdomen down into her thighs. A grueling 3.5 hour surgery was needed *while Meg had to remain awake* to clean out her blood vessels enough to function. After scraping out hundreds of clots, Thank God, she is going to be okay. But the recovery has been an extremely slow process with a lot of swelling and pain, which requires close monitoring by several doctors. She remains mostly immobile - she has been literally unable to walk or move out of bed for weeks. She has a large hematoma in her right leg, likely caused by bleeding during surgery. This caused unbelievable swelling for which the doctors do not have a timeline for recovery.

It’s been so hard to see her suffer with the physical pain, and I can only imagine how it felt to be home alone on Thanksgiving. She has been trying to keep strong mentally for her family, especially her three girls (11 yo, 5 yo, plus her newborn.)

Needless to say, they are now drowning in medical bills just before Christmas. They’ve been immediately hit with the hardships of out-of-pocket medical costs, prescriptions, meal delivery, and other necessities to keep the household running as best as possible.

When she was hospitalized, Meg and I were in the middle of planning a “Sip & See” baby viewing/shower in November. (Here’s a link to the baby registry she was working on for the occasion https://www.babylist.com/list/meghannv)

In place of that event, with your help, I’d like to shower the Verriers with some support that will help with the extra expenses, AND see them and the girls comfortably through Christmas. It’s a gift that would enable the Verriers to focus on Meg’s rehabilitation and enjoy the simple things they need most right now: health, happiness and family.

Prayers are also welcome and encouraged! Thank you for contributing in any amount to this effort!
