The Showcase Theatre was more than an all-ages venue, it was where many of us grew up.
Established in 1994 by Ezzat Soliman with the help of family and friends, the Showcase Theatre gave thousands of young people a place to belong. A space built on community, energy, and shared experience.
The Showcase Theatre Documentary was created to honor that community. Through in-depth interviews, rare archival footage, and firsthand stories from the people who ran it, played it, and packed it, this film captures the energy and heart of a place that once meant everything to so many of us. I’ve spent years tracking down stories, clearing music, and building this film piece by piece to make sure this chapter of music history isn’t forgotten.
Now it’s time to finish it the right way. With the documentary nearly complete, I’m turning to GoFundMe to help finish what we started together. Funds will go toward professional sound mixing, color grading, equipment, promotional tools, and final delivery expenses, so we can properly share this story with the world.
If the Showcase meant something to you, this is your chance to preserve it.
