Showcase the rich culture of the Fulani people to the world

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Omar Bah. Together with my team, we are raising funds to launch a powerful cultural showcase that will bring the story of the Fulani people to the world.

This project will involve the production of a feature-length documentary series that takes viewers on an immersive journey through the past and present of the Fulani people across Africa. We will explore their nomadic lifestyle, oral traditions, music, spirituality, culture, demographic spread, and the challenges they face in the modern world.

Introduction
The Fulani people - also known as Fulbe, Fula, or Peuls - are one of Africa’s largest and most widely dispersed ethnic groups, spanning the Sahara, Sahel, and West Africa. They are found in more than 20 countries, from Senegal to Sudan. The Fulani story is one of migration, resilience, and rich cultural heritage. With deep roots in oral storytelling, nomadic traditions, music, fashion, scholarship, and more, Fulani culture is a living legacy that deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated.

Although estimates suggest there are over 40 million Fulani people across Africa, our culture remains underrepresented, misunderstood, or entirely absent from mainstream narratives. We are on a mission to change that - to honour the Fulani identity and share our vibrant heritage with the world, with your support.

Our Goal
This project aims to shine a light on Fulani communities worldwide and showcase our rich culture on a global platform. We intend to explore and clarify the many questions surrounding Fulani history, origins, and contemporary life. This is why we have launched this fundraising campaign - to bring this vision to life.

We will travel across Africa, filming live from Fulani settlements and creating a 15–20 episode docuseries.

The final series will be available on Over-the-Top (OTT) media platforms for global viewing.
Whether you are Fulani, African, a culture enthusiast, or simply someone who values diversity and heritage - your support matters. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to making this documentary series a reality.

By contributing, you're not just supporting independent storytelling - you’re helping to amplify voices that deserve to be heard and celebrate the beauty of Fulani culture around the world.

Thank you – On jaaraama! (Thank you in Fulani)
