If you, like us, have felt powerless upon hearing about Kelly's recent breast cancer diagnosis, now's your chance to take some power back! Please contribute if you can to help cover health care costs and support Kelly in her recovery.

THE DIAGNOSIS

With a strong family history of breast cancer, Kelly's OB/GYN referred her to the high risk breast clinic at OSU following her last pregnancy. She was approved to have early mammograms and her first was completed in February. Suspicious calcifications were found throughout the right breast and biopsy confirmed DCIS, unstaged ER/PR+ HER2- breast cancer. 

An MRI found 2 additional masses through most of the upper right breast as well as enlarged lymph nodes. Instead of pursuing several more biopsies, it was determined that the best course of action would be to schedule surgery to remove the entire breast. Any need for chemotherapy or radiation will be determined when the final pathology is done. 

WHAT NOW? 

Kelly will undergo surgery on April 4. 

That's...really soon.
