Hi,

my name is Paul Battram, Ringmaster @ Circus Cascadia.

I am doing this appeal for my best friend Bill Hewitt.

Bill suffered 2nd degree burns to the soles of both feet after passing out whilst fighting a blazing brush fire, He regained consciousness and had to self rescue, his hearing aid and eyeglasses were lost in battling the fire.

Bill spent 4 days in Tepic Hospital Civil, has been discharged and is staying in an air bnb, near his home in Mexico.

Financial help is needed for essential medical care during his convalescence. Bill will be wheelchair bound and in need of nursing care for a while as he recovers from his serious injuries.

Bill has always been quick to volunteer when help is needed and we are asking people to donate generously to help him through his recovery.

Bill has always been there for me, he is my kids adopted Grandad and is the longest serving Circus Cascadia team member with 17 yrs of serving the community a happy portion of Circus.

These funds will be used to help him to pay his carers and nurses, his hospital bills, emergency accommodation and daily living expenses, and of course replacement glasses and hearing aid.

Bill would never ask for this himself, but I know this is the time for our community to show him our support. Thank you
