If you’ve met Sean, chances are, he’s touched your life in some way: whether it’s supporting an event you’ve organized, fixing your car, checking to see why your dishwasher is making a funny noise, running lines with you, or sometimes just being there when you need a friend. He will quite literally give you the shirt off his back.
In one of life’s moments where Sean showed up for one of us, a tragic accident happened. While changing the oil on a friend’s car, which he’s done a million times, the car jack failed- crushing Sean’s skull and pinning him under the car for 30 minutes. He was taken to UCLA where he received life-saving treatments including brain surgery and having plates placed in his skull. He is stable, but his journey is far from over.
UCLA discharged Sean on 12/5/23, despite his need for medically necessary facial reconstruction which was scheduled for Friday 12/8/23. Because he was discharged from an emergency hospitalization between his reconstruction, insurance is now refusing to pay, leaving Sean with a crushed nose and a fractured eye socket which cannot go left untreated. Without a covered physician, Sean is facing medical bills in the hundreds of thousands.
In addition to overwhelming medical bills, Sean will be out of work for the foreseeable future. He is our family, and he needs our support.
PLEASE consider making a donation to help Sean cover the cost of this medically necessary procedure and to provide him with some extra financial support in this extremely difficult time. If you cannot donate, please share this campaign far and wide and stay tuned for a fundraising event.
