Hey everyone!, most of you know this family as @modernfamilynextdoor and have come to learn about their baby boy Arthur via their family instagram. Some of you are close family and friends and have been living through this reality with them. There are also some of you who don't know them at all. Regardless of who you are and how you have come to know this family, we can all admit that they have helped us in some way, shape or form.

Through the intimate content they share with the world unselfishly, to the doors they have guided some of us to persevere through, this family has turned heads and opened hearts for so many.

Upon admission into Pomona Valley Hospital baby boy Arthur was immediately diagnosed with acute respiratory failure and then Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). Arthur was then emergently transported to CHOC on January 28, 2024. Since admittance to CHOC their world has been upside down. Arthur had been fighting like hell before having to succumb to intubation in the NICU. Jory and Vanessa have stayed by his side unable to touch or comfort him. As of February 3, 2024 it is unknown as to when Arthur will be healthy enough to be released. We are all hopeful it will be soon.

Jory has been off from work since before giving birth and is now at the end of the unpaid maternity leave rope. Her fellow officers have gone above and beyond with donating their paid time off to aid in the extension of her families medical coverage and income.

Vanessa, is reluctantly trying to keep finances afloat through her social media submissions and both are mentally trying to curb the salacious remarks received in their inbox as a result.

Their other two children are resiliently adjusting to their mommy and mama being away with their baby brother and close friends and family are doing the most they can for them while also attempting to balance the care for their own families and work lives.

Reluctantly and with heavy persuasion, they have agreed to allow us (close friends) create this page on their behalf. As a friend to this tribe of warriors, I ask that you please donate whatever you can to help this family bounce back.
