Update! These past 8 weeks have been difficult. Rick has been in and out of the hospital. Most recently, we nearly lost him. The tumor had caused severe internal bleeding that required intense medical intervention to stop. Praise God that he is on the road to healing. One of the most profound things Maureen said to me a couple days ago was “thank God for the go fund me.” They’ve had to use some of it already for medical costs. And Maureen is now moving into the no disability pay portion of Rick’s care and although we have raised so much money, I know it won’t last long. In reality, it’s just enough for the insurance costs for a few months. If you feel called to donate again or perhaps reach out to employers or community members for donations, it will help this family. It’s been much more difficult than any of us ever expected. Currently, chemo is on hold until he is healed from this latest setback to start again. Rick is fighting with all his might! Please, please continue to pray for this amazing man & family. We, and the Day Family, are so grateful for your generosity & prayers.

Helping the Day Family is easy! Rick's recent pancreatic cancer diagnosis has been a shock to everyone. Please consider making a monetary donation to help cover the unexpected costs that will arise as he receives his treatment. Maureen will need to reduce her work schedule to help care for Rick. This reduction in her hours will most likely affect the family's health insurance. She carries the health insurance for the family through her employer, and your contribution will help tremendously with the future costs for health insurance, medical and travel expenses, as well as household needs that may arise.
