Show some love for Madilyn Hope's Heart Journey
Update June 8, 2025: Maddie is home! Thank you for continued prayers! Mom is still out of work, and now they are all home. Power bill will be for 4 people instead of just 1, since she has been born. Groceries will be more. Nina is still in daycare due to consistency in her life and to preserve her spot at daycare. If you could please send a donation, this is the time when they will need it the most! God Bless, you if you can donate and if you can't donate.
May 21, 2025: Madilyn Hope is off the ventilator. Please pray she can continue to breathe on her own and stay off the ventilator. Her procedure appears to have been a success. Please help this family financially if possible. Prayer is free and the family covets those most.
Update May 13, 2025: I stole this from mom's Facebook update.
Our Madilyn Hope has done very well throughout her procedure and we are in the waiting area waiting for the nurse to come get us. The Dr. said Madilyn did great, they successfully placed the balloon like they needed to, without any complications. there is still a small amount of leakage but nothing major and it’s to be expected. There is a chance she may need another procedure but that’s depending on the leakage slowing down or stopping. But her surgeon seems very optimistic that if she did then it wouldn’t be until she’s older. ✝️we want to thank everyone for all of the prayers and we just ask that you continue to pray for Madilyn through her recovery. It’s still going to be a long journey with alot of Dr appointments and check ups. She will be on a breathing tube for a few days to help her get over this hump and then we will be working on her feeding and see how she handles eating and her body adjusting to not having the heart medication through her belly button now. With God all things are possible and God has been answering prayers and sending us blessings and we are so thankful ✝️
We all dream of the magical love story where we meet our soul mate, get married and have children. Elizabeth Rachel and Tim Livingston are soulmates, married, and had several miscarriages. They were finally blessed with Nina Grace and then found out another blessing was on the way about 3 years later: Madilyn Hope due June 11, 2025.
Madilyn Hope was found to have some challenges with her heart in utero, so her parents were referred to MUSC in Charleston, SC. Maddie was diagnosed with pulmonary stenosis.
May 6, 2025 - Another visit to Charleston to check on Maddie's condition, showed it had worsened from all indications. They were told once she is born, she will have surgery immediately and will be in ICU for a minimum of four weeks with another two to three weeks in the hospital until being discharged home.
May 8, 2025 - Maddie’s mom woke to her water having broken and a trip to Greenville, SC to see if she was going to deliver in Greenville, SC or Charleston, SC. After consulting with the doctors in Charleston, mom was taken by ambulance to Charleston, SC.
What does all this mean?
An ambulance ride to Charleston, SC from Greenville, SC. An ambulance ride across town is $800 at least.
Mom will be out of work for an extra month Maddie’s parents weren’t expecting. Dad will need to make frequent trips back and forth from Anderson, SC to Charleston, SC, as well. No income for mom, increased expenses, both living and medical. This is just the start. Maddie’s needs have yet to be determined.
This couple needs some help. They do not like to ask for help but are always the first to offer and help others. What would you do in this situation? Can you spare some money to help them have a little less worry and anxiety about their family’s future? If you can’t help financially, would you please pray for this family?
Update: Marilyn Hope was born on Mother's Day. Her condition requires her to have a procedure on May 13, 2025 at only two days old. Please pray for her, the surgeons, nurses, and support staff. We request care and comfort for her parents and family.
