Mike has been in the hospital for almost a week with a serious illness that normally affects people much older than him. What started as something unexpected has quickly turned into a frightening and uncertain situation, and Mike now has a long road to recovery ahead.

Mike and Nat are supposed to be planning one of the happiest moments of their lives — their wedding this October. Instead, they are spending their days in hospital rooms, facing difficult news, medical procedures, and an uncertain timeline for recovery.

Even while lying in a hospital bed, Mike’s biggest concern isn’t himself — it’s how he will get back to work so he can pay the growing medical bills. That’s just the kind of person Mike is.
