Show Love to Amanda in Her Time of Need

Donation protected
Amanda Martin has truly experienced tragedy in her life and in personal relationships. She lost her only sibling, Christopher, several years ago. He apparently had had a heart condition his entire life and didn’t know it. One night his heart literally exploded while he was watching a movie with his son. If Chris had been in a hospital on the operating table, no doctor could have saved him. He was 34 years old. Amanda’s father, Connard, Martin, died of a heart attack in his sleep. Amanda is divorced and lives alone. She lived with her mother, Bonnie Horne Martin and cared for her for two years while Bonnie battled a courageous fight against lung cancer. I witnessed the loving care she gave Bonnie during those months. She handled everything for her mother and afforded Bonnie grace and dignity until the end. Before and since Bonnie’s death in 2023, Amanda has had health issues of her own, heart attacks, knee surgery, depression and now she is facing serious surgery this month to repair a prolapse. Just before Thanksgiving she had to leave a job she loved because she could no longer perform the duties necessary to do her work. Her money has run out and she is worried she will lose everything she has fought so hard for. I am her mother’s first cousin. Our mothers were sisters. I held Amanda when she was 3 days old and have spent time with her for all of her 46 years. She has no immediate family members she can rely on for financial help and support. I am creating this Go Fund Me page in hopes that people will respond positively and donate any small amount to help her through this time of surgery and recovery until she can get back on her feet and be self sufficient again. Jesus asked us to love our neighbors as ourselves and also said, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for me.”
