My name is Marca Gay and I'm raising funds for one of my dearest and closest friends. After 30 years of service living in their community of Pacific Palisades, their beautiful neighborhood is in complete ruins, and they don’t have access to their damaged home.

Avi and Alicia have graciously, warmly, and generously opened their home throughout these years, offering an emotionally uplifting and physically safe haven to family and friends alike.

As many of you know, Alicia has been providing loving childcare support to local families as well as families from around the world. She’s always been welcoming, even during COVID, making sure that young families were taken care of and providing mental and emotional support to these families navigating the challenges of parenthood.

As you may also know, Alicia has been very involved in the community as an active member of Resilient Palisades, advocating for a more environmental, ecological, and sustainable life. Since 2014, Alicia has organized and hosted vegan events at the Albek home to promote the benefits and importance of a compassionate vegan lifestyle and subsequently joined the Board of JewishVeg. The Albeks have been active in their synagogue, KI, and Alicia has served on the sisterhood board.

The Albek home is my second home, as I know it is for so many who have had the fortune to walk through their doors and be immediately embraced. I know in their hearts they are looking forward to offering once again that safe haven and place of many celebrations for everyone as soon as it is possible.

So many people have asked, “How can I help?” This is your opportunity to show the love and support we have all experienced from the Albeks over these past 30 years.
