Show Love for Phil Sullivan and His Family

Phil Sullivan has provided and maintained an online home for thousands of Jets fans for what will be 20 years this coming February. A lifelong loyal fan who never misses a game, he’s always been unable to hide his unwaveringly good nature, his humor, his intelligence, his infectious warmth, and his love of others.
Most among those others he loves are his family members, and they have just taken a mighty blow.
Lauren, his beloved wife and mother to their children, has sadly just lost a twelve-year battle with cancer. As is his nature, he told us all when they got the first shocking diagnosis, and along the way all the doctor visits, treatments, withdrawals, pain, and more with him always by her side. To read the way he spoke of her, the immense love he and his family had for Lauren was evident and easy to see. He never asked for a thing, other than for him and Lauren to be side by side.
He’s had well wishes and condolences from the community he started, which - if you know Phil at all - are important and therapeutic. We also know the emotional costs aren’t the only ones endured. It’s not just the expense of a funeral, which is significant on its own. Earlier this year he and Lauren sold their prior home in favor of buying one in which she could get around more easily as her mobility became more limited. Then on top of the closing costs then were further renovations to make things wheelchair friendly for her: all the room entryways were made wider, counters lowered as a kitchen was redone, and surely still more he never shared. None of it was free.
Phil would never ask for this type of help from us himself. Still, it's only appropriate to give to someone who’s given so much for all of us, and for others that he, Lauren, and his family have touched over the years. In his sharing such detail of what they’ve been through, he’s repeatedly shown us what he and his family are made of. Show them what you’re made of, too.
