To know Jon is to love Jon.

He is one of the kindest souls you will ever meet, and I (and countless others) feel grateful to have him in my life. Jon is the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back without thinking twice about it.

You might have seen him over the years helping out behind the scenes at Sim Shows, Cantina parties, Dance Agenda events, No Boys In The Booth parties, Retox parties, Backyard BoomBox events, and countless other events around the Twin Cities where you could have seen him tuning the sound system at Rev, working the lights at Union Rooftop, or maybe you caught one of his "Indrid" or "Chevp Suits" DJ sets at the Armory, Last Call, Seven, Cowboy Jack's, or any of the other countless venues around town.

As a community, it's time to show Jon some of the love he has shown us over the years.

I am not sure that many of you know about his mom's cancer diagnosis, as Jon tends to keep his personal life private. Over the past couple of years, Jon has been traveling back and forth between Minneapolis and Olympia, WA, spending quality time with his mom and being there for her as she undergoes some serious treatments for a late-stage lung cancer diagnosis.

Unfortunately, as you can all understand, the expenses are adding up.

While Jon would never be one to ask for a handout, as his long-time friend, I know he needs our support now more than ever, that's why I am reaching out. Jon needs additional funds to continue to visit his mom, Vicki, at her home in Olympia.

He is currently working overtime to cover his expenses, and that does not leave him much time to stay in contact with his mom, much less travel to see her. That's why he needs our help. While Jon would never be the person to ask for it, he needs the community's support now more than ever.

Help Jon spend time with his mom, and let him know we support him as a community. Please give what you can, and then tell him how much he means to you when you see him at a show.

The funds raised for Jon will cover travel to and from Olympia, as well as some monthly bills, so that he can take time off from work to be with his mom.
