"If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."
I want to start out by saying silence is golden. Please do not spread any negative energy about this situation to my mom.
I'm helping out my amazing mom who is going through a tough time right now. If you know her, she lives to love and care for other people and children. She is always carefully planning to make everyone's birthdays and holidays feel special. She is a constant gift giver just because she's thinking of you. I've watched her give the last dollar out of her pocket to someone who needed a pick-me-up more times than I can count. Her home has always been open to anyone who needs a safe space, and it always comes with a ton of comfort food and a big hug. She would do anything to make anyone feel included and to put a smile on your face. And she rarely, if ever, asks others for anything in return.
Not only did her income just get cut in half overnight, but one of her 28-year-old breast implants is ruptured and causing pain and other serious issues. The longer this goes on without surgery, the worse and worse it will get. It's a medical necessity at this point, not something she wants to have done. Unfortunately, insurance won't cover any of the surgery she needs and we've exhausted every other financial option. She's approved for CareCredit but it's still not enough and the surgeon will not do the surgery until her bill is paid in full. This doesn't include any potentially unpaid time off work to recover from surgery. So I'm trying to help her raise the rest so she can take care of herself!
If you can donate anything, like and share this page, or simply just send her some kind words, it would be very appreciated. Trying to deal with all of this on top of other life stressors is taking a serious toll on her. It's her turn to feel the love and support that she deserves in return, that she's constantly giving to others.
