Hello, on behalf of our beloved Coach Jean, the staff of Karate USA are setting up this GoFundMe in order to help her get back on her feet after her terrible car accident, allowing her to focus on her recovery.

As established from her update, she has fractured her vertebrae and completely totaled her only mode of transportation. She hydroplaned and flipped her vehicle four times before hitting a tree. In her words, God was really looking out for her because her injuries could have been much worse. Her injuries will take at LEAST a couple months to heal, and she desperately needs to find a mode of transportation.

A little bit about her that she would like me to include is, she is 38 years old, born and raised here in Shreveport. She has been an educator, nanny, a tutor, a photographer and musician for most of her life. She raised her step daughter mostly by herself since she was 3 years old (her daughter is 23 now). Coach Jean has worked at Karate USA for over 3 years now and she loves working with both children and adults, but her heart is with the little ones and special needs children. Working and teaching these kids has been the greatest joy in her life and she is honored to be their teacher.

As you guys are aware, Coach Jean has put countless hours into the dojo, teaching and assisting with classes, hosting birthday parties, and parents' nights out, as well as facilitating many other events behind the scenes.

Please help us in giving back and showing Coach how much we appreciate her and are wanting to help. She desperately needs a new mode of transportation and help with her medical bills and student loans!
