Show Love for Calvin and the Freeman Family
Donation protected
If you know the Freeman Family (Joe, Allison, Hadley, Jovie, and Calvin), you know how amazing they are and what big hearts they have. It’s now our turn to show them how much support they have from their friends and family. Their youngest, Calvin aka Cal, has recently been hospitalized for unknown lesions over his body.
They have been transferred to Duke in hopes for more answers and clarity. As they’re waiting on the biopsies and treatment plan at Duke, they will inevitably experience financial burdens with travel and medical expenses. If you can find it in your heart to help this amazing family with prayer, continued thoughts, or a donation, they would forever be grateful.
A little more in depth detail:
What looked like a spider bite at the end of July which slowly began to grow into a large, painful ulcer. Within 2 days more started rapidly starting popping up all over his body anywhere he has any sort of trauma (a scratch, an IV poke, a bandage) they appear and grow to the painful ulcer in 48 hours. No antibiotics have helped. He is now on oral and topical steroids. The children’s hospital in Greenville exhausted all of their abilities so Duke requested him because they have the specialists he needs. Waiting on biopsy results which were done and sent off days ago will hopefully bring us some answers. Right now they are leaning towards something autoimmune related since his body seems to be attacking itself.
