Celebrating the Life of Al Christopher Griffin (Big Al)

Our beloved Al Christopher Griffin—affectionately known as “Big Al”—passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 21, 2025. A father, brother, uncle, and cherished friend, Al was the kind of soul who lit up every room he entered. Whether through his booming laugh, warm heart, or unforgettable karaoke performances, he brought joy to everyone around him.

Just weeks before his passing, Al was laid off from his position at TDECU/Shell Oil on July 31, 2025. Sadly, this also meant the loss of his life insurance coverage. As we grieve this tremendous loss, we are committed to giving Big Al the dignified homegoing celebration he deserves—one that reflects the love and light he gave so freely.
