These are a few words that describe our friend and co-worker, Brandon Burnett, who has worked at Weil Wrecker for seventeen years. Brandon is 37 years old, with a beautiful wife, Ebony, and two boys, JoJo and Bryson. 

 

Brandon contracted COVID several weeks ago, and although he has never had any known significant health issues, he had to fight the virus, which turned into pneumonia. Ultimately the doctors concluded that it had attacked his heart. Brandon now has a pump inserted into his chest wall to keep his heart on the right track until he receives a much-needed heart transplant.

Brandon is on the 2nd tier of recipients needing a heart transplant. Though no heart has turned up yet, he is, fortunately, a patient at UAB, with state-of-the-art medical resources and highly skilled doctors tending to him.

 

With the sole breadwinner in the hospital and a special needs child that requires 24-hour care at home, it has been challenging for Ebony; however she is a selfless, determined wife and mother. Although Brandon and Ebony would never ask for help, we feel that they need all the love and support we can provide.

 

Funds will go to ease medical bills during this difficult time.
