Cortney and I met immediately when my family moved here from California in 2013. We knew no one, had no support system and trying to navigate Texas being 2K miles from any family was tough. But if you know Cortney, you know she of course was right there when we needed as she always is for anyone that’s in need. Which is why (with her permission) I’ve created this go fund me for her and her family.

On April 17, 2026, Cortney received the most difficult call of her life. Her Father took his own life. As Cortney and her sister Casey, navigate this unimaginable grief, they have also been faced with a wave of unexpected expenses that no one could ever truly prepare for.

Cortney is someone who has always shown up for everyone. From the community, to random strangers, to her family and the people she loves. She is selfless, kind, and quietly strong. However, right now, she deserves that same love and support in return.
