Holiday greetings all!
For those of you that do not know me, I'm a long time friend of Karen. It took a lot of convincing for her to allow me to create this Gofundme because she is uncomfortable asking for help. I've seen Karen give money to the homeless when she had little money to give; so I told her there is no harm in asking for a little help. We all know she has hustled her whole life working many many diverse jobs, selling her art, and her proudest moments were teaching art to young children. The last few years she has had a labor-intensive job working at the Anaheim Convention Center. She finally saved up for her own apartment. The problem is, Karen was badly injured at work: A freight elevator door malfunctioned and fell onto her, striking her on the chest. She actually could have been killed if other employees had not stepped in to help her out. Now on the mend, Kare is able to function and get around, however she has breathing issues. She also has a blood clot which has formed in a dangerous place- in her jugular vein. The Convention Center no longer wants her working there. The City of Anaheim will very likely reimburse her for work missed...but this is a lengthy process and she is not sure when or if she will receive any financial help from them...so she needs help getting through the next few months until the City resolves her case. I thought if each of her friends would chip-in around $5-$10 this could help her tremendously. Besides contributing, you can help by passing this on to family or friends who are not on Facebook. If you have any questions...message me or Karen. Thank you thank you thank you...let's help her into next year!!
Christmas Blessings,
