Jim Connor is one of the most beloved, most integral and most caring members of the Marlboro CSD staff. In many ways, he is Marlboro. He grew up in Marlboro and lives in his neighborhood home on 9W. His father was a teacher at the high school, his mother, a renowned piano teacher in the community. His sister was the salutatorian for the class of 1985. Jim studied music in college, returning to Marlboro to help raise his nephew. He cared for his father when he was ailing, his mother when she was ill, and also his sister when she, too, fell sick. He has dedicated his life to caring for his family. He is a genuinely good person. Jim is also part of the Marlboro family. He started working as a hall monitor at the high school over 20 years ago. He is one of the most important daily presences in our building. Throughout the years, administrations and teachers come and go, societal fads sweep through students, but Jim is one of the cornerstones that make Marlboro High School such a wonderful place for students and staff. His influence cannot be overstated. Students trust him, and staff and faculty rely on him. He is a source of sharp intelligence, good humor and deep empathy. In every way that matters, Jim is the epitome of what we all wish to be. Jim is a man of pride, and he is not asking for help. But he is part of our family, and we always take care of our own when one of us is in need. Following the loss of his mother and sister, and the expenses related to those events, Jim is in need of financial help, including a reliable vehicle.
