Show Jacqui some love ❤️

Donation protected
Jacqui is an incredible friend, human, dance instructor, and teacher who’s had a significant medical event that’s left her unable to work for the past 6 months.

In January, a doctor misdiagnosed her and put her on a medication that caused a severe central nervous system reaction that required extensive and acute medical care. Since then, she’s worked with numerous specialists to control the damage to central nervous system and other areas of her health.

It took several months to stabilize Jacqui’s health, and now, slowly, she is recovering. However, being out of work and the medical expenses have taken a huge toll on her family.

She gives so much to our community and to each person she touches. She is the kind of person that will make time on a Saturday night to teach kids how to sew pointe shoes. Who sees people (and especially children) as beautiful individuals and manages to make each feel powerful and strong and confident even as she pushes them to be their best selves as dancers and as people.

As a friend and as a person, she lights up every room she walks into with her bright energy and down-to-earth perspective and beautiful sense of humor and her mop of curls. Jacqui teaches dance at Sole City’s nonprofit dance studio and a professor at John J College of Criminal Justice among her other endeavors.

Please support her recovery, if you can, by donating OR sharing her story. I love her to tiny little bits and I can’t wait until she’s able to be back at the dance studio.

If you want to contribute in other ways, such as gifting food or restaurant gift cards, I know she would appreciate that, although she is strictly gluten-free and you’ll need to coordinate with her about her needs.
