As many of you are aware, our dear friend and colleague, Denise Katz, has been diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor (Glioblastoma). She has had surgery to remove most of the cancer, however she now has extensive chemotherapy and radiation sessions ahead of her. These treatments will require 5 days of appointments for 6 weeks. This means a lot of travel costs/time and mostly likely some temporary lodging in Seattle.

Additionally, Paul, Denise’s husband is currently at a skilled nursing facility in Seattle where he is being treated for his own medical concerns. Since Denise has been the primary earner, but cannot work for a while, we would like to offer any help to offset some of the costs they may incur over the next few months.

Denise has been such an involved part of our Vashon community – serving on boards, supporting non-profits, and working as the Designated Broker at Windermere where she mentors new brokers and oversees office management. All who know her can testify to her strength, strong ethics, and vibrant personality. Let’s show our love and support for Denise and her loved ones in the ways we can – big and small.
