Hi, my name is Eddie Olavarrieta, and I’m starting this GoFundMe for my best friend, Clarence August “C.J.” Jacobs Jr., who was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma (Throat Cancer) in May 2025.

C.J. recently completed an exhausting round of chemotherapy and radiation, and while he continues to fight and heal, the recovery process has taken a serious toll on his health, energy, and finances. Anyone who knows C.J. knows he’s the first to show up when someone needs a hand — now it’s our turn to show up for him.
