My name is Kasie. I am starting a GoFundMe for my best friend Jamie. We met at my husband's first duty station in upstate New York at Fort Drum. She and I have been friends since 2002 and have gotten closer as the years have gone by. In her early teens she was a cancer survivor having to have an ovary removed and some other things attended. The doctor said she'd never have kids and she's had two beautiful children. She's now at the second half of her life, she married a wonderful guy last winter and has become part of a beautiful blended family. She had been feeling bad for a while and when she made it to the doctor they found some very rare cancer. She had surgery that was supposed to take care of it but it didn't get it all. They started doing a wild diet and then giving her radioactive iodine, hoping to take care of the cancer that had come back, but as it turns out it didn't work. Her sweet husband Jerry has been driving her from South Alabama all the way to Texas to see the best doctors available but the trips back and forth and all the costs of staying in hotels and trying to survive while missing work are really hard on them. It would be really awesome to be able to help them take care of these bills as their plate is already so full. She's still working and so is he but she's going to have surgery again this Friday. If there's anything at all you can contribute to help pay for this and cover some of their bills. It would be really great. She's having seven surgeries on Friday. They're going to take a big chunk of her liver parts of her intestines lots of different things.
