Linda, our beloved friend, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.  Stupid. Fucking. Cancer.  Her prognosis is excellent but she has a long road ahead, with many months of chemotherapy, followed by surgery and likely radiation.

For twenty years, Linda has led many many of us on training walks all around San Francisco .  She has dedicated herself to fundraising for organizations that help so many breast cancer patients and survivors.  She founded In Our Lifetime, a nonprofit whose mission is to "extend camaraderie, deep humor and a shared vision of eradicating breast cancer as a life threatening disease, In Our Lifetime."  She founded the Immediate Impact Breast Cancer Walk and along with a small but mighty team raised over $629,500 for local San Francisco Bay Area breast cancer organizations over six years.

Now it is time for the members of Linda's community to extend our hands and hearts, and stand shoulder to shoulder with her while she works her way through her treatment for the very disease she has fought so hard against.

Linda will need our support to provide her with enough funds so that, in the months ahead,  she can face her treatments with safety,  security and dignity.  From helping with daily expenses, to ensuring that her home is comfortable and comforting, to guaranteeing that she can get to and from her treatments without discomfort or inconvenience,  our donations will protect Linda and allow her the peace of mind that she needs as she faces the next several months.
