On Monday, May 5, 2025, he started his day like he always does, up at 6:45 AM getting our boys dressed and ready for school. We had no idea that just hours later, our lives would change forever.

Later that night at 8:40 PM, while responding to a call, he was shot. In that moment, everything stopped. As an officer, he’s always known the risks that come with wearing the badge, but nothing can truly prepare you or your loved ones for something like this.

If you know him, you know he’s more than the uniform he wears. He’s a proud father of four: three handsome boys ages 8, 7, and 3 and one beautiful girl who is 2 months old. He’s a son, a brother, a grandson, an uncle, a mentor, a provider, and above all, a child of God.

He has been in the hospital for two weeks now, still facing more surgeries and a long road to recovery. There are times when he replays that night over and over, but what’s helped him push through is the overwhelming love and support from our family, his APD family, his friends, and our community.

Many have asked how they can help. As he continues to heal and prepare for more surgeries and rehabilitation, we’re humbly asking for financial support.
