Shot 15 times, 1 million in medical bills.

Hello, My name is Eric Smith. I was shot 15 times by a young man who was strung out on meth. At the time I had pneumonia and covid-19. I lost my home while I was in the hospital. I was in a medical coma for several weeks. There was extensive damage to my liver. I still have atleast 8 bullet fragments in my chest. I developed an infection in my right lung and was re-admitted to the hospital for a breif stay. They removed 800ml of fluid from my lung. I am now on i.v. antibiotics and other medications at home. Through the grace of God, I have been blessed, he obviously has big plans for because I am still here. 2 of my longest friends have opened their home to me, but they have limited resources and a daughter they are raising. I still need 2 surgeries. I need to repair my car that was damaged in the shooting. I need monetary help to get back and forth to doctors, food and clothing. Well just to update. My medical bills have reached over 1 million dollars, I was denied disability because they said there had to be a job that I could do. Some days I can’t even get out of bed. Due to PTSD I don’t sleep for days on end. I. I still need to have a surgery because my entire stomach is one big hernia. Basically I look like I am 8 months pregnant. I have a wonderful friend who has helped me beyond anything I could have asked for. But things are beginning to get tight for him and I would love to be able to help him any way I could. Plus now the motor has gone out on my car and so I have been driving his car but the miles are starting to add up. He is 80 years old and was planning on this to be the last vehicle he bought. To make things worse Harris County gave the young man who shot me a plea deal and didn’t notify me so that I could file for restitution. In fact they still have not notified me that he even was sentenced or any thing. Neither has the V.I.N.E. Network, which is supposed to be the victims advocate group who is supposed to notify victims of any changes in the case. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.
