Shot 10 Times — Help Tiara & Her Girls Rebuild Their Lives

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tiara. I’m the proud mother of two beautiful little girls, both under the age of 5 and my 12 year old brother who I have guardianship of. I'm writing this through tears and pain because I never imagined I’d be in this position—asking for help to simply survive and rebuild our lives.

In March 2025, I was ambushed and shot 10 times by a former domestic partner while leaving a friend’s house. The attack happened through my windshield. Several bullets just missed my head. I survived—but I am far from okay. Domestic violence is real. I followed all of the rules: restraining order, no contact, blocked his number, yet I was still ambushed.

After the shooting, my children and I had to flee immediately for our safety. We are in hiding and left behind nearly everything we owned. Since then, we’ve been living in a shelter, trying to start over with nothing but each other while waiting for the trial to begin.

I've had to leave the part-time job I held for over 10 years and was forced to shut down the small business I spent the last 4 years building. I’m now living with disabling injuries—no use of my dominant arm, constant pain, and extensive trauma—yet I'm expected to care for two small children alone.

Why I’m Asking for Help
I’m waiting on disability approval, but that process can take months. Victim assistance has offered help—but again, it’s a waiting game, and my daughters and I don’t have months. We need help now to cover urgent, basic needs.

Your donation will help us with:
Child care – I physically cannot care for my girls full-time due to my injuries, but I no longer qualify for assistance because I’m not working… even though I’m not working because I was shot.
Safe housing – We need to move out of the shelter into stable housing.
Physical therapy – I’m paying out-of-pocket for critical recovery care because I lost my health coverage.
Basic necessities – Clothing, food, school supplies, hygiene products, and household essentials.

This isn’t just about survival—it’s about giving my daughters a chance at a normal, safe childhood after something that should have destroyed us.

If you’re able to give anything at all, even just $5 or $10, it will make a real difference. And if you can’t donate, please share this with others.

Thank you from the depths of my heart for reading this. For caring. For giving us hope.

With love and gratitude,
Tiara
