So last year, my step dad Shorty was diagnosed with stage 4 renal cell carcinoma and had a kidney removed. Everything was alright until in June they had found it had metastasised into his lungs and was deemed incurable. In the span of 3 months, it has also spread to his back, arm and scapular bone, with him undergoing spinal surgery, and doctors telling him he has got until Christmas with us. With all of this going on, he hasn't been able to work and my mum has been juggling jobs to help us all, so I think they deserve something truly special.

They have been engaged for 4 years and want a big wedding to FINALLY get married, bring all their family and friends together, and make some long lasting memories. we have stripped back the budget everywhere we can, cutting corners and asking favours, but we still need support to make it everything happen the way they envision. We haven't got very long... only until halloween as it was brought forward due to the chat the doctors had with us. A little goes a long way, so whatever people can do, support they can give, it is very much appreciated.

For me personally, shorty marrying my mum means I can finally be considered one of his true daughters, something that I've always wanted.

Both of them really deserve this, they are such good people and I am so grateful for them, to be able to do something like this for them, give them back something for all the help they give to so many people would be a dream. Thank you.
