Hey everyone,
This isn’t an easy thing for me to write. I’ve spent the past 18 years working in the community, raising funds for charities and helping others whenever I could. Asking for help myself is something I never imagined doing, but I’m at a point where I need to reach out.
A few months ago I unexpectedly lost my job and my weekly drag show at the same time. I’ve been actively applying and interviewing, but it’s been over three months without a new position. I’ve been stretching my severance, EI, and my savings as far as possible, but they’re now close to running out. I’m doing everything I can to stay afloat, but I’m facing a real gap before I can get back into stable work.
I’m asking for help to cover essential, time-sensitive expenses, including:
* Mortgage and monthly bills
* Groceries and day-to-day living
* A vet check-up for my two cats
* New medication I’m starting up as of this week
I’m not looking for long-term support — just enough to get through this difficult stretch and keep my life stable while I continue job searching. Anything truly helps, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this with others.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. It means more than you know. And when I’m back on my feet, I fully plan to pay this forward, just as I’ve always done in my community work. I miss seeing all your beautiful faces, I will hopefully make my come back soon!
