Hi, I’m Darylle. If you’ve been following along, you probably already know Sobo, but for anyone new here, he’s the little kitten who found his way into my life at a moment when neither of us was doing particularly well.

I found Sobo 6 weeks ago when he was sick, underweight, semi-blind and clearly in need of help. What started as a simple vet visit quickly turned into a much bigger journey involving treatment, recovery, and a lot of learning along the way. Thanks to an incredible amount of support from this community, he’s now healthy, has about 70% vision, is curious, and very much himself. I will always be grateful for the help we received during that chapter.

This fundraiser is for a different and much more practical moment.

Because I’m traveling with Sobo, I’m limited to short term Airbnb housing that explicitly allows pets, which narrows options and raises costs during this transition.

I planned to rely on my own savings during this travel period, but the reality of short term, pet allowed housing ended up costing more than I reasonably expected, especially after a cluster of recent travel and care related expenses.

Right now, I’m asking for short term help covering February rent so I can stabilize, take a breath, and make my next decisions from a grounded place rather than financial stress.

This isn’t about an emergency or an open ended situation. It’s about getting through a tight window responsibly, without burning through the remainder of my safety net all at once.

There is absolutely no obligation to contribute. Several people asked for a concrete way to help, and this is simply here for anyone who wants to.
