Hello! I'm Shortcake and I'm a voice actress and ASMR creator. Unfortunately I have been diagnosed with tumors of the thyroid/parathyroid. This condition causes extreme fatigue as well as other unpleasant symptoms and has recently started to affect my voice too - which is very bad for business in my line of work! I will need surgery to remove the tumors in my throat. Further tests are required to find out if the tumors are cancerous, however, the treatment for non-cancerous and cancerous tumors is the same: surgical removal and radiation therapy if found to be malignant.

The surgery can also cause temporary changes to the voice for a few months afterwards. Thankfully, with surgery and treatment my doctor expects that I will be able to make a fully recovery!

Fundraising from this GoFundMe will be used towards medical costs such as specialist consultations (e.g. endocrinologist and radiologist consultations), various scans, ultrasounds, biopsies and tests to identify and treat tumors, surgery for removal of malignant growths, any radiation treatment if required, etc.
