Short term assisted living care for Patty Thiel

Hi, family and friends! I have reluctantly set up this fundraiser for my wife, Patty Thiel (Patricia Packard Thiel) who suffered several injuries in a fall last Sunday, June 11th. She has broken both of her arms, a rib, and the fibula in her left leg. Our need is for her short-term assisted living care while she recovers from these injuries. The good news is that she doesn’t require surgery; ironically, if she required surgery, her rehab care would be covered by Medicare and our insurance… However, because she doesn’t require surgery, her short term care is not covered. Regrettably, although with the help of our immediate family when Patty eventually comes home, she needs trained, professional care for the next month or so - which is expensive and not covered by Medicare and our insurance. And, although I make a good income and would be able to cover our costs on a “pay as you go basis”, the requirement for significant up-front cash is beyond our current means… If you are in a position to help us out, we’d be very grateful.
