Moin! My name is Nastya Golubeva and I am a filmmaker currently based in Hamburg.
I study at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts (HFBK) in filmmaker Omer Fast's class.
ECHO is a short film inspired by my experience of leaving home and attempting to comprehend the strange emotional numbness that can follow.
Like many independent films, this project exists thanks to a small group of people who believe in it.
Synopsis:
The film follows Polina, a young woman who has recently left Russia and now lives in Batumi. From the outside, her life appears normal, with dates, conversations and everyday routines, but inside, everything feels strangely muted.
One evening, she finds a dying animal at the side of the road, but realizes that she cannot help it. This moment stays with her.
The next day, she travels to a nearby forest and has to spend the night there alone.
This night in the forest is the first time she cannot escape herself.
Why am I raising funds?
I’m raising funds to help cover production costs, such as filming on location, equipment and other practicalities that make the shoot possible.
How you can help:
If you’d like to support the film, you can donate any amount.
Even a small contribution helps move the project forward.
Thank you for reading and for being part of this!
If you donate, please include your name with the contribution.
I’ll send you a personal thank-you message afterwards. <3
