I am an independent filmmaker working on a short film that explores what it means to seek significance when you come from the underclass. The story follows a woman raised working class as she navigates status-seeking and misplaced aspirations within consumer culture, all in an effort to feel important enough to belong. This project is deeply personal to me, inspired by my own experiences and observations of how society shapes our sense of worth and belonging.
I believe that stories like this are important because they shine a light on the struggles and hopes of people who are often overlooked. By bringing this film to life, I hope to spark conversations about class, identity, and the ways we search for meaning in a world that often measures us by what we have rather than who we are. The funds raised will go directly toward securing filming locations and providing meals for the cast and crew, ensuring that everyone involved is supported and respected throughout the process.
Any contribution will help make this story a reality, and I’m grateful for your belief in me and in independent film. Your support means the world to me, and I can’t wait to share this journey with you.
