LITTLE FEET - Short Film Fundraiser

Hey there,
We are Ollie Ivin-Poole (DIRECTOR) and Lucy Joy Pembroke (PRODUCER). Both of us are student filmmakers currently developing our final grad film, LITTLE FEET - a raw, tender portrait of a household in which two young children live with a mother diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder.

The story follows 12 year old Noah, and his 4 year old sister Gemma, who live under the shadow of their mother Ruby, whose warmth is as fleeting as her sudden outbursts. With their father absent and Ruby sinking deeper into her own inner battles, the children are left to find comfort in each other and in the games that protect them from the chaos of home. Their longing for something sweet, leads them to steal money from Ruby’s purse and sneak away to the shops for ice cream. For a moment, the siblings taste freedom and joy, But returning home, they are forced to confront the painful truth of their mother’s struggle. Through the children’s eyes, Little Feet paints a raw and tender portrait of innocence colliding with generational trauma, revealing the quiet resilience of childhood and the bonds between siblings.

LITTLE FEET is a film that that educates audiences on the realities of growing up with mental illness, about realising the struggles your parents face and learning to empathise with them. About understanding that we are who we are because of how we were raised.

As someone who has been in a close relationship with BPD, working alongside other crew who share personal connections and experiences with it, this film comes from a place of authenticity and emotional honesty.

This is where you come in...

We’re seeking any contributions to help bring this film to life. Your support will lend the project vital credibility and help amplify its message to the very community it speaks to.

We’re currently seeking any contribution to reach our budget goal. This will help support production costs, including crew, cast, gear, catering, travel and accommodation. Any amount is a huge help!

This isn’t just a film. It’s a conversation starter. A potential tool for youth programs, harm-reduction initiatives, and mental health advocacy.

Thank you so much for your time,

Kind regards,
Ollie Ivin-Poole & Lucy Joy Pembroke
