Hello everyone!
I have finally decided to shoot my Sci Fi/Horror short film "FLUX". Here is a little synopsis of the film in case I haven't already blabbered about it to you:
In the distant future Los Angeles becomes over casted by pollution blocking all sunlight. With time humans have evolved into nocturnal animals surviving on the blood of the weak. All the underground creatures rise into the eternal night life of the city and rule the goth clubs. A drop dead gorgeous creature called Blondie oversees the clubs with her gang of sexual beasts. During a local goth band "Egrets on Ergot" performance, Blondie notices a luminescent and tasty girl standing out in the crowd. Blondie indulgences in her desires and begins to work her flirtatious ways with the innocent girl and tries to have a bite. What Blondie comes to find instead is a new kind of entity created to destroy them.
Yay! Sounds fun right? Well it will be once I am able to have funds for this project to be able to rent the right kind of locations, rent the proper equipment and of course pay my cast and crew. I work in production so I know what a budget can do to make something look really good! I might not be asking for a whole lot or maybe too much, but if I can even get half the funding I can still make something amazing!
If you don't know me I can give you a background of who I am and what I do so you can know where your investment will be going to.
My name is Michelle Hernandez, I am a Mexican/American from El Paso, TX. I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my dreams to become a Director of Photography. I work as a professional camera assistant in the film industry and I have been for 5 years. I also on my own shoot music videos and live concerts with local bands in LA and back home. I love working with many artist from music to painting. I've been an artist all my life and being a cinematographer just combines all the art that I love into one thing. This short film is going to help me become a more known Cinematographer to the narrative film world.
Thank you for taking to time to read my message. Please feel free to donate whatever amount you desire. I am always appreciative of the support I receive by all you beautiful people. :)
Love,
Michelle Hernandez
