ABOUT BS

"BS" is a black queer romance that centers characters Leyla and Ty, as they reconnect at a party after months of no contact. The weight of the past and Ty's actions weigh heavy on the pair - will their sustaining chemistry be able to carry them through this fractured relationship?

WHY IT'S IMPORTANT TO ME

It's no secret that whilst black queer representation is improving, there still isn't enough. Even when looking for reference images while doing research for this film - I could only find a handful of images that really represented black queer love in the way that I am looking to portray. It's important that we have a multitude of ways to see ourselves in the heterogenous ways we exist.

Many of you may know that I'm aspiring to be a screenwriter, and as my first production, I'm really hoping to create some magic on screen for the first time ever. Thanks so much to those who have always shown support and thank you already to the team of people who have already dedicated themselves to this project; I am so grateful!
