TOMMY, a veteran who could never adjust to life after the service, sits homeless on the streets of LA thinking back over his life. Preaching his philosophy to his childhood friend CLAY, the two reminisce on their time in the army as Tommy remembers the tumultuous chain of events that led him to becoming a drifter.
What the Film aims to express...
This film deals with PTSD on an unspoken humanistic level. There are many men/women of the Armed Services dealing with this problem today, with very little social insight on their condition. This film will express how deep it can go.
How much will it cost to produce?
The budget will cover Film Crew, Sound Person, Assistant Director, Make-up Artist, Location Fee, Studio Fee, Actors (4 principle roles), Post Editing, Post Sound, Post Marketing. The goal is to start shooting mid-April.
About the Writer...
Don Alexander (Walker) is a Screenwriter living in Los Angeles, pursuing his dream in the route of Film Making. Growing up a Military Brat, Don spent most of his childhood on multiple U.S. Military bases in Germany, graduating from Heidelberg American High School in 2003.
He received his bachelor’s degree in Communications of Media Studies, with a minor in Sociology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where he was also a member of the Wrestling team. After college, he spent 5 years in Stuttgart, Germany, where he played semi-pro American Football and also worked as a civilian for the U.S. Army as a Marketing Specialist. In 2014, he received the Civilian Service Award from the Garrison Commander for his involvement with the community, including, radio personality, and volunteer wrestling coach for the High school.
Now living in Los Angeles, Don has been involved in several projects, including work as an assistant director for aL2 Productions (Fault 2018). He has also been involved in TV Series, Film Pilots, and Theatre Productions. As a writer, He has written 7 full-feature screenplays, which he hopes to produce all of them in the near future.
