Short Film - A Most Passionate Death

Hi! We are raising funds to be able to film a passion project written by Anthony Quintana and directed by Anthony Quintana and Levi Elizaga.

Synopsis:

A most passionate death is about a renowned private detective battling a catastrophic mystery from his past. He is invited to a Christmas party at the mansion of the city's most prominent crime boss. His invitation comes with a mysterious note, alluding to someone's death at the party.

Producer/Writer/Actor

Anthony Quintana (Duncan) was born in El Paso, Texas but has been an Arizona native most his life. After dedicating his life to football and basketball, and battling a series of injuries in high school, Anthony pivoted his focus and dreams to his other true love, film. Growing up, his dad would take him to the theater every weekend. It’s there that he would dream of one day creating something magical, through film. He is the writer and producer of “A Most Passionate Death”, and hopes to shine light on trauma and the struggle between hope and loss.

Levi Elizaga

Producer

Levi Elizaga is a writer, director, producer and musician. Growing up in Gilbert, Arizona, Levi has always wanted to be a filmmaker, from a young age to college. He attended the Art Institute of Phoenix and received a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Video Production and Film. Since then, he has started multiple businesses focusing on creative filmmaking. His passion for storytelling and poetry allowed him to experiment with the emotional journey of filmmaking by adding deep thought, metaphors, and extensive character development. For him, it's not about making a film but rather an experience.

Talent:

John Pene (Detective James) is originally born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He’s been living in Phoenix, AZ since 2014. He speak four languages and has played basketball for 2 years at South Mountain Community College. His passion to act as been with him from a very young age. He performed in the theater at Edenvale High school in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he lived for 8 years. This was the foundation that fueled his passion to perform on stage. He is actively acting both on stage and on screen and has starred in short films, student films, and web-series’ across the valley and country.

Crowdfunding:

We anticipate at least six days of filming to complete this project. Our tentative filming dates are set for January of 2023. We are raising funds to help pay for expenses, including location, equipment, cast, food, props, and insurance fees.

With your help, we will be able to film the most extensive and expensive scene, the Christmas party. The footage and photos we captured that day will help us launch our next crowdfunding campaign to help pay for the remaining filming days and market the film after production.
