This year, because of supporters like you, we removed 1130 cubic feet of plastic and trash from our Shorelines and Waterways.
That's equal to 1 and a half full city garbage trucks.
We hosted 11 cleanup events this year and have another two planned in November before the snow flies.
All of this is because of you, our members, and volunteers' dedication to protecting our Shorelines, waterways, and wildlife.
We have already started to plan next year's events, and we need your help.
Our biggest challenge this year was transporting the trash once we collected it. We do 90 percent of our cleanups on the water, from our kayaks, and we are limited to the amount of bags we can safely transport back to the city pickup spots.
We will be making barges this winter to tow behind our kayaks allowing us to transport five times the amount of plastic,
