Surfrider Foundation

The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves and beaches, for all people, through a powerful activist network. Founded in 1984 by a handful of visionary surfers in Malibu, California who were concerned about threats to their local break, the Surfrider Foundation now maintains over 50,000 members and 250 grassroots chapters and student clubs worldwide.
