SHOP DISASTER RELIEF FUND—DEAD SERIOUS TATTOO

Cody Wallenius and the crew at Dead Serious Tattoo in Willow Springs IL have Been in business for 10 years and have become a staple in their community. Due to the adverse weather in Chicago, this last week they came into work to an unfortunate problem Saturday morning.  A pipe had burst and flooded the shop due to a negligent neighboring tenant—who is claiming zero responsibility for her actions; she didn’t have any gas running to her unit or heat on, which lead to an inevitable burst pipe.

They started the weekened with 5” of standing water THROUGHOUT the entire shop. As one is never ready for a SWIMMING POOL in the middle of their tattoo shop, they have exstensive damage to floors and everything that was down low is now ruined. They wont know the full extent of the damage until the weather and the water clear up.

It’s too cold to develop mold yet. But that’s something that will inevitably come up in spring. She’s claiming her insurance won’t cover it. They have ten tattooers working there and they ALL have kids, and bills. They are now are CLOSED until they can figure this out. They are unsure of the outcome of this and are trying to find out if legal action is going to be taken . Until they find out the full damage and what can be done they could really use some help from the tattoo community. PLEASE SHARE!!!
